Hard Luck Cafe and NOOM

Matthew Ponsot will be the featured performer at the NorthShore Original Open Mic (NOOM) on Wednesday, January 14. The monthly Hard Luck Café concert series co-presented by the Folk Music Society of Huntington and the Cinema Arts Centre (423 Park Avenue, Huntington) in the Cinema’s Sky Room on Wednesday, January 21, will feature A Tribute to Those We've Lost. In this multimedia production, more than three dozen Long-Island-based artists will perform songs written or popularized by more than two-dozen notable songwriters and recording artists who left our world over the past year. A few short videos will be screened as well, along with images and audio of the artists we’ve lost. The concert will extend from 7pm-10pm, with a short intermission; there will not be an open mic preceding this month's show. Tickets are $26 ($20 for Cinema Arts Centre/FMSH members) for this benefit for both non-profit organizations, and may be purchased online at cinemaartscentre.org or at the box office through the evening of the show.

Father and daughter Jim Whiteman and Lindsay Whiteman will share the stage at the monthly Hard Luck Café concert co-presented by the Folk Music Society of Huntington and the Cinema Arts Centre (423 Park Avenue, Huntington,  NY) in the Cinema’s Sky Room on Wednesday, February 18, from 7pm-10pm.  These two Long Island singer-songwriters offer a broad range of unique and entertaining original songs.  Tickets are $26 ($20 for Cinema Arts Centre/FMSH members) and can be purchased online at cinemaartscentre.org or at the box office now through the evening of the event.
