“Just Wild About Harry” Concert Set for December 4

More than two dozen of Long Island’s top musicians and songwriters will take to the stage at Landmark on Main Street’s Jeanne Rimsky Theater in Port Washington, NY to perform the music of Harry Chapin, the late Grammy-Award-winning singer-songwriter and social activist, on Monday, December 4, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available through Landmark on Main Street. Admission is based on a sliding scale starting at $10.

NorthShore Original Open Mic (NOOM) in the Sky Room at Huntington’s Cinema Arts Centre

Jim Whiteman will be the featured performer at the NorthShore Original Open Mic (NOOM) on Wednesday, December 6. Co-presented by the Cinema Arts Centre and the Folk Music Society of Huntington in the Cinema’s Sky Room (423 Park Avenue, Huntington), the open mic runs from 7-10 p.m., with a featured artist performing a 30-minute set beginning around 8:15 p.m.  Sign-up starts at 6:30 p.m.  Although NOOM is free to attend, donations will be gratefully accepted.

Hard Luck Café: Christine & Company -and- The String Sisters

Huntington's own Christine & Company (Christine Ambrosini joined by Joanne Ambrosini, John Ambrosini, and Zachary Swanson) and The String Sisters (Annie Mark and Maria Fairchild) will take the stage during the monthly Hard Luck Café concert series co-presented by the Folk Music Society of Huntington and the Cinema Arts Centre (423 Park Avenue, Huntington) in the Cinema’s Sky Room on Wednesday, December 20, from 7pm-10pm. An open mic, for which sign-up is at 6:30pm, precedes the concert.  Additional details to follow.

Hard Luck Café: James O’Malley -and- The Mountain Maidens

Long Island's own James O'Malley and The Mountain Maidens will share the stage during the monthly Hard Luck Café concert series co-presented by the Folk Music Society of Huntington and the Cinema Arts Centre (423 Park Avenue, Huntington) in the Cinema’s Sky Room on Wednesday, January 17, from 7pm-10pm.
