10th Annual Huntington Folk Festival

   Tom Paxton will headline the 10th Annual Huntington Folk Festival on Sunday, July 26 at Huntington, NY’s Heckscher Park, located off Main Street (Route 25A). Extending from noon until l0:30 p.m., the free festival – co-presented by the Folk Music Society of Huntington and the Huntington Arts Council – is part of the 50th Annual Huntington Summer Arts Festival. Tom Paxton also is marking his 50th year as a touring artist.

Opening for Paxton on the park’s Chapin Rainbow Stage will be No Fuss and Feathers Roadshow. This group of award winning songwriters features the delicious harmonies of the nationally touring performers The YaYas (Catherine Miles & Jay Mafale), Carolann Solebello and Karyn Oliver. Collectively, they are an incorrigible bunch of musical co-conspirators bent on giving an audience an unforgettable show.

Prior to the evening concert, AcousticMusicScene.com and FMSH will host unplugged showcases and song swaps featuring more than three-dozen artists near canopy tents from noon until 6 p.m. Artists confirmed to perform during the afternoon include Acoustic Apple, Annika, Mark Allen Berube, Michael Braunfeld, Meghan Cary, Andrea Cetlin, Greg Cornell and the Cornell Brothers, Curtis & Carla, Generations: Mike & Aleksi Glick, Phil Henry, Jay Hitt, Karen Hudson, Josh Joffen, Stuart Kabak, Kalinec & Kj, Judy Kass, Cecilia Kirtland, Scott Krokoff, Mara Levine, The Levins, Lisa Jane Lipkin, Eli Maniscalco, Kirsten Maxwell, Lois Morton, Mark Newman & Naomi Margolin, James O’Malley, Elaine Romanelli, Shawn Taylor, Robinson Treacher and Bob Westcott.
