Hard Luck Café: Pat Wictor

Pat Wictor will take the stage for the monthly Hard Luck Café concert co-presented by the Folk Music Society of Huntington and the Cinema Arts Centre (423 Park Avenue, Huntington,  NY) in the Cinema’s Sky Room on Wednesday, November 19, from 7pm-10pm.  The 8pm concert will be preceded by a 7pm open mic for which sign-up begins at 6:30pm.  Tickets are $25 ($20 for Cinema Arts Centre/FMSH members) and can be purchased online at cinemaartscentre.org or at the box office now through the evening of the event.

Wictor is a slide guitarist, singer-songwriter, and educator whose lean, poetic songs honor and expand folk, blues, and gospel traditions. A former member of the acclaimed trio Brother Sun, Wictor has earned critical praise, chart-topping albums, and a reputation for memorable performances blending originals, covers, and improvisation. His 2022 release FLARE reached #1 on the Folk-DJ charts, following his Phil Ochs tribute This Is Absolutely Real. An in-demand collaborator with over 60 recording credits, Wictor tours widely, teaches nationally, and writes the popular column A Few Choice Words.
