Hard Luck Café: A Tribute to Those We’ve Lost

The monthly Hard Luck Café concert series co-presented by the Folk Music Society of Huntington and the Cinema Arts Centre (423 Park Avenue, Huntington) in the Cinema’s Sky Room on Wednesday, January 21, will feature A Tribute to Those We’ve Lost. In this multimedia production, some 30 Long-Island-based artists will perform songs written or popularized by more than two-dozen notable songwriters and recording artists who left our world over the past year. A few short videos will be screened as well, along with images and audio of the artists we’ve lost. The concert will extend from 7pm-10pm, with a short intermission; there will not be an open mic preceding this month’s show. Tickets are $26 ($20 for Cinema Arts Centre/FMSH members) for this benefit for both non-profit organizations, and may be purchased online at cinemaartscentre.org or at the box office through the evening of the show.
