Co-presented by the Cinema Arts Centre and the Folk Music Society of Huntington in the Cinema’s Sky Room (423 Park Avenue\, Huntington)\, the open mic runs from 7-9:30 p.m.\, with a featured artist performing a 30-minute set beginning around 8:30 p.m.  Sign-up starts at 6:30 p.m.  Although NOOM is free to attend\, donations will be gratefully accepted.  The event will also be livestreamed via the Northshore Original Open Mic Facebook group.

SUMMARY:Hard Luck Café:  Pat Wictor
DESCRIPTION:Pat Wictor will take the stage for the monthly Hard Luck Café concert co-presented by the Folk Music Society of Huntington and the Cinema Arts Centre (423 Park Avenue\, Huntington\,  NY) in the Cinema’s Sky Room on Wednesday\, November 19\, from 7pm-10pm.  The 8pm concert will be preceded by a 7pm open mic for which sign-up begins at 6:30pm.  Tickets are $25 ($20 for Cinema Arts Centre/FMSH members) and can be purchased online at cinemaartscentre.org or at the box office now through the evening of the event. \nWictor is a slide guitarist\, singer-songwriter\, and educator whose lean\, poetic songs honor and expand folk\, blues\, and gospel traditions. A former member of the acclaimed trio Brother Sun\, Wictor has earned critical praise\, chart-topping albums\, and a reputation for memorable performances blending originals\, covers\, and improvisation. His 2022 release FLARE reached #1 on the Folk-DJ charts\, following his Phil Ochs tribute This Is Absolutely Real. An in-demand collaborator with over 60 recording credits\, Wictor tours widely\, teaches nationally\, and writes the popular column A Few Choice Words.
