The Slambovians’ lively late-night musical extravaganzas have made the band Falcon Ridge Folk Festival favorites for more than a decade. \nThe music of The Slambovian Circus of Dreams has been variously described as “hillbilly-Floyd\,” “folk-pop\,” “alt-country\, roots-rock\,” and “surreal Americana” — a clear indicator of its singularly indescribable uniqueness. Dancing freely between all existing religious and philosophical mythologies\, the music is uplifting\, empowering\, at times haunting\, and a lot of fun. Elements of The Incredible String Band\, Dylan\, Bowie\, Neil Young and the Decemberists are all part of the musical mix. \nFronted by songwriter Joziah Longo (vocals/guitar/harmonica)\, the band features guitarist/mandolin player Sharkey McEwen\, multi-instrumentalist Tink Lloyd (accordion\, cello\, uke\, theremin\, melodica); and new member Felipe Torres (percussion). \nIt’s impossible to capture in writing what the experience of seeing the Slambovians live is really like.
