SUSAN McKEOWN

SUSAN McKEOWN is an Irish singer-songwriter from a musical family, who is now living in New York. Her performance was an eclectic mix of folk, folk rock, and traditional Celtic! Her strong voice reflected her training -- that includes Opera (not for long), street singing and work at the New York Performing Arts School. Although much of her music is not obviously Celtic, she feels that it is informed by the traditional works she loves.

Appearing with her were two very talented members of her accompaniest group, The Chanting House: Chris Cunningham (electric, acoustic guitars) and Lindsey Horner (double bass, tin whistle, etc.). They have a very successful album, Bones, and she has appeared at Fez, The Mercury Lounge, The Bottom Line and on WFUV (Fordham University Public Radio).
