MARTHA TRACHTENBERG artha Trachtenberg is a founding member of the Buffalo Gals, the first all-female bluegrass band. She has sung on records by Marty Stuart, Tony Trischka, Stacey Phillips, Lewis London and Bottle Hill, as well as on commercials for everything from Miller Beer, Campbell's Soup to Red Lobster Seafood Restaurants and Easy Bake toy ovens. Her solo for Folger's Coffee brought calls from friends and fans across the country who recognized her distinctive voice.

n accomplished songwriter as well, Martha has had songs recorded by the Buffalo Gals, Tony Trischka and Skyline, Eileen Sharkey and Colleen Grace.

artha's first solo album, It's About Time, displays both her beautiful voice and guitar ability. We very much enjoyed this great musical talent, who returned to our Hard Luck stage by popular demand.

Ron Renninger

RON RENNINGER ew York City based singer songwriter Ron Renninger is in his third decade of performing and currently has 5 albums under his belt. He is a songwriter's songwriter, nimbly stepping into the shoes of ordinary people and wrapping their stories around musical vignettes, giving a voice to those who might not otherwise be widely heard. Nor can his elegant guitar playing style be overlooked; Ron easily flows between intricate finger style and innovative flat picking.

on is well known to many audiences and has graced the stages of concert venues and radio stations as well as hospitals and nursing home parlors. Since the last time we saw Ron, he performed at the Bottom Line in NYC and was a finalist in the acoustic performance category at Planet Bluegrass in Telluride. His songs have also been recently heard on nationally televised programs.
