MICHELLE MONTÉ

Singer Songwriter MICHELLE MONTÉ has evolved rapidly from a shy girl with a guitar to an engaging performer with a compelling stage presence. This remarkable transformation can be attributed to the honesty of the songs she writes, and the experience gained by playing before audiences ranging from self-absorbed café patrons to rowdy rock crowds, winning new fans wherever she goes.

After the release of her live album "Whole Latte Love", Michelle decided to go into the studio to record her second. We were proud to present this unpretentious and energetic performer in her Hard Luck Café debut.

STUART MARKUS

STUART MARKUS has been called the hardest working singer-songwriter on Long Island, and with good reason; he not only performs at numerous events, coffee houses and wineries, — he tirelessly speaks of the importance of local performers getting recognition in their home environment. Stuart's performing style is easily accessible, his guitar playing is impeccable and his soaring vocals are reminiscent of early Gordon Lightfoot.

Stuart's first release, "Not the Only One Who Feels This Way" has long been a local favorite, and he is currently recording his second album. The Hard Luck Café was proud to present this smart and engaging artist in his first appearance in our intimate concert series.
